Dedicated Marine, family man honored in Helmand

Major Rudy Salcido, the commanding officer of Georgian Liaison Team, 32nd Georgian Light Infantry Battalion, Regimental Combat Team 7, and Lt.Col. Phridoni Tereladze, the Georgian commanding officer, pay their final respects to a fallen brother during a memorial ceremony for Staff Sgt. Jonathan Davis, Mar. 2, 2013. Davis, who was known for his dedication to duty and selfless love for his family, was killed during combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan, Feb. 22. “Staff Sgt. Davis has paid the ultimate sacrifice,” Salcido said. “We will continue to honor him through our ruthless, selfless, and unrelenting service to our fellow brothers-in-arms.”
