The commander of ISAF Joint Command, U.S. Army Lt. Gen. James L. Terry, was the guest speaker and presided over the change of command. Members of the German Contingent to ISAF, as well as numerous international and Afghan guests attended the ceremony. Maj. Gen. Pfeffer, was previously the commander of 13th Mechanized Infantry Division in Leipzig, Germany, and assumed command of RC-North and the German soldiers of the ISAF contingent on Feb. 26, 2012.
