Frank and Chrys Kestler plan to build a retreat for veterans and their families near Magdalena, on their ranch in remembrance of their son, Army 1st Lt. Joseph J. Theinert, who was killed by an improvised explosive devise on June 4, 2012, in Afghanistan. Behind them is an architects plans for the retreat, the Strongpoint Theinert Ranch.
