WASHINGTON (November 16, 2023) - Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Lisa Franchetti presents Capt. Jeffrey Fassbender, former commanding officer of the Seawolf-class fast-attack submarine USS Seawolf (SSN 21), with the 2023 Vice Admiral James Bond Stockdale Leadership Award during a ceremony held in the Hall of Heroes at the Pentagon, November 16, 2023. The Stockdale Leadership Award is presented annually to recognize commanding officers, one from the Pacific Fleet and one from the Atlantic Fleet, who demonstrate inspirational leadership, both professionally and personally, while also contributing to the improvement of leadership in the Navy.
