WASHINGTON (November 16, 2023) - Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Lisa Franchetti provides remarks during the 2023 Vice Admiral James Bond Stockdale Leadership Award ceremony held in the Hall of Heroes at the Pentagon, November 16, 2023. This year's award recipients were Capt. Jeffrey Fassbender, former commanding officer of the Seawolf-class fast-attack submarine USS Seawolf (SSN 21), and Cmdr. David Burke, former commanding officer of the Ohio-class ballistic-missile submarine USS Rhode Island (SSBN 740) (Gold), for demonstrating inspirational leadership, both professionally and personally, while also contributing to the improvement of leadership in the Navy.
