Staff Sgt. Luis Cardenas, chief drill instructor, plays simon says with kids with YMCA of Greater Long Beach during a community service event, Jan. 2. As part of the bowl week festivities, the players and Marines spent a few hours with children ages 5-12 from the YMCA of Greater Long Beach and Carson Parks and Recreation Veterans Sports Complex to teach the kids the importance of good sportsmanship, leadership and health and wellness.
