Sgt. Matthew Lee, Instructional Training Company drill instructor with Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, asks kids with YMCA of Greater Long Beach to yell louder during a community service event, Jan. 2. As part of the bowl week festivities, the players and Marines spent a few hours with children ages 5-12 from the YMCA of Greater Long Beach and Carson Parks and Recreation Veterans Sports Complex to teach the kids the importance of good sportsmanship, leadership and health and wellness.
