Capt. A.J. Tao, an armor officer and commander of Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division renders honors to the American flag during a transfer of authority ceremony between 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, and 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, in Zagan, Poland, Sept. 23, 2023. The ceremony, officiated by Maj. Gen. Christopher R. Norrie, commanding general of the 3rd Infantry Division, was the last step in the transition between the two rotational brigades and marked the return of Black Jack Troopers to Fort Cavazos, Texas.
