(retired) Renysha Brown, a 28-year veteran of the Illinois Army National Guard and a Desert Shield/ Desert Storm, serves as the keynote speaker during a Desert Storm remembrance ceremony at the Illinois State Military Museum Feb. 28, honoring the 18 service members from the state of Illinois who passed away. February 28, 2023, marks the 32nd anniversary of the cease fire announcement of the Persian Gulf War.
