Army Master Sgt. Kristi Palmer, South Dakota Counterdrug Civil Operations noncommissioned officer-in-charge awaits the announcement of the Department of Defense Community Drug Awareness Award during the 2012 DoD Red Ribbon Week Awards Ceremony at the Hall of Heroes in the Pentagon, Oct. 18. South Dakota National Guard Counterdrug Drug Demand Reduction program received the Department of Defense Community Drug Awareness Award. “Working with the coalitions and people who care about their community make South Dakota a great place to live,” Master Sgt. Palmer said. This is the third consecutive year South Dakota has been recognized for its work with the South Dakota community.
