Capt. Matt H. Langferman, a Marine All-Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 225 F/A-18D Hornet pilot, and Capt. Bradley N. Buick, a VMFA(AW)-225 F/A-18D Hornet weapon systems operator, perform preflight checks during air-to-air and air-to-ground training as part of Exercise Island Fury here Oct. 19. Guam provides a unique training experience due to it being sovereign soil, having inclement weather often, varying terrain for day and night exercises and close proximity to sister services for training and support.
