Capt. Ronald Oswald, commanding officer, NAVOPSPTCEN Ventura County, Calif., listens as Edward Cunningham speaks of his time in the U.S. Army Air Corps which evolved into the U.S. Army Air Forces, and later the U.S. Air Force, during the Spirit of '45 celebration at the Topanga Park Retirement Living facility. Full Time Support and Navy Reserve sailors visited the facility to spend time with the veterans and learn about the path they follow. The Spirit of '45 event was organized by VITAS Innovative Hospice Care and the Topanga Park facility to pay tribute to World War II veterans.
