Sgt. James Flohr, machine shop sergeant, 542nd Support Maintenance Company, adjusts a piece of aluminum bar stock as he makes a part from scratch on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Oct. 4. The 542nd recently purchased a computer numerically controlled milling machine allowing it to mass-produce parts in a short amount of time. The addition of this machine to the shop has the potential to save the Army millions of dollars.
