John Cook, executive officer, 1st "Ironhorse" Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, after an award ceremony on Camp Taji, Iraq, Dec. 3, in which Cook received the Estonian Defense Forces Meritorious Service Cross. The ceremony allowed Soldiers from the Ironhorse Brigade to recognize their Estonian partners in Estonian Platoon 15 and vice versa. For the past six months, troops from Estonian Platoon 15 have performed operations with Ironhorse troopers in Troop B, 1st Squadron, 7th Cavalry Regiment, as well as with the Iraqi security forces in Sab Al Bor, Iraq.
