Afghan Brig. Gen. Khatool Mohammadzai lightheartedly shows off her certificate of appreciation from Maj. Gen. Kenneth Dahl, International Security Forces deputy commander for support and U.S. Forces-Afghanistan commander, for being the guest speaker at the Women's Equality Day event hosted by USFOR-A at the New Kabul Compound, Afghanistan, Aug. 26. Mohammadzai is the highest ranking female in the Afghan army, is a paratrooper with more than 500 jumps under her belt, and is a black belt in several martial arts. She spoke to more than 100 US service members, civil servants, and Afghan civilian female workforce at NKC about leadership, education and the perseverance to achieve both.
