The training exercise called for approximately 300 role players, which required hiring from out of state. Texas and Michigan were just two of the other states participating. The large number of role players allowed for realistic training units in Vibrant Response 13 required. Vibrant Response 13 is a major field training exercise conducted by U.S. Northern Command and led by U.S. Army North.
