Invited participants of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Boss Lift event being briefed on weapons systems at Range 59 C here, May 30. The Boss Lift brings employers to military training sites where they observe National Guard and Reserve members on duty as the Total Force. This provides the employer a better understanding of what their Reservists do when they are away from their civilian occupation for duty with their military units. Participants in the 2 day event took part in flying to Cape May, N.J., in an Army helicopter to train with Coast Guard service members, witnessed an F-16 Falcon prepare for a mission and viewed an in-flight refueling mission from the back of a tanker. They also participated in weapon systems firing, rode in military vehicles, and watched military dogs in action.
