Marines from the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit land on Red Beach at Camp Pendleton, Calif., before establishing an evacuation control center during a non-combatant evacuation operation rehearsal, July 24. During the NEO, servicemembers evacuated role-players from a predetermined location. The simulation was part of Composite Training Unit Exercise, a pre-deployment event that evaluates the Peleliu Amphibious Ready Group’s ability to conduct integrated military operations at sea and ashore in a realistic training environment.
