A photo of a clan or family war staff, also known as an Eagle Staff or Tscdettaan by the Natoh Diné Tachini, which was created by Jeffery Gay, represents and offers homage to fallen warriors of the clan. The staff was displayed during the third-annual Gourd Dance here, June 23. One side of the Eagle Staff displays all of the meritorious ribbons the clan members have received throughout the years in order of military precedence; including his grandfather’s Indian Scout Ribbon, to honor the voluntary military service of the clan.
