Clash of the Ruggers during JBLM’s 1st Rugby Invitational Cup

Sgt. Cliff Davidson, previously stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM), now assigned to Dragon Troop, 2nd Squadron, 3rd Cavalry Regiment, Fort Hood, Texas, a member of the “U.S. Military Select” team leaps over his teammate, Maj. Nate Conkey, an instructor for the Department of Physical Education, West Point, N.Y., during the match against the “East Palo Alto” team on Cowan Field at JBLM, Wash,. The inaugural Best of the West 7s Rugby Invitational Cup took place June 23-24.

The Dragons rugby team is open to all service members and civilians in the JBLM community. Novice to experienced players can come to the stadium on Wednesdays during their lunch break, to see if this is a sport they would like to experience and a team they would like to be apart of.
