Army 1st Lt. Mark Faldowski, a fire support officer from the 75th Ranger Regiment out of Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., uses a laser range finder to identify targets during a training exercise on Razorback Range located at Fort Chaffee maneuver training center, June 6, 2012. Faldowski is training with Joint Terminal Attack Controllers, also from the 75 RR during the week long Special Operations Exercise (SOFEX) hosted by the 188th Fighter Wing, Fort Smith Air National Guard, Ark. Nearing its second deployment to Afghanistan with the A-10, the 188th regularly conducts training with JTACs from different branches of service to sharpen its close air support mission.
