Prime Power soldiers test electrical equipment at Dahla Dam

Staff Sgt. Richard Siver (foreground) and Sgt. Derek Straubie, A Company, 249th Engineer Battalion (Prime Power), test switching equipment used to raise and lower irrigation gates at Dahla Dam, Afghanistan, June 11. The Prime Power soldiers are supporting the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Afghanistan Engineer District-South, which is preparing to award a contract for major repairs of Dahla Dam. The repairs will restore the amount of water available for irrigation throughout the lower Arghandab River basin.
