Operating a remotely controlled submersible at Dahla Dam, Afghanistan

Staff Sgt. Andrew Miltenberger of the 569th Engineer Detachment (Dive) uses a remotely-operated submersible to observe underwater features of Dahla Dam, Afghanistan, June 11. The dive team deployed to Afghanistan to support the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Afghanistan Engineer District-South, which is preparing to award a contract for major repairs of Dahla Dam. The repairs will restore the amount of water available for irrigation throughout the lower Arghandab River basin.
