Marines give back at Cleveland community center

Covered in mud, Lance Cpl. Lorenzo D. McCoy, 26, a Cleveland native with 3rd Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment, powers through dirt June 14 at the Central Recreation Center during Marine Week Cleveland’s community outreach efforts. McCoy grew up near the center and played at its facilities as a child. He said he was glad to get the chance to give back to his community alongside his fellow Marines. They joined volunteers from the Cleveland Indians’ franchise and Defense Finance and Accounting Services to give back to the people of Cleveland as part of Marine Week Cleveland’s community outreach program. Marine Week Cleveland ends June 17.
