Capt. Ronald Oswald, commanding officer, NAVOPSPTCEN Port Hueneme, Calif., pins an miniature American flag on the shirt lapel of Alfred Legere, former U.S. Marine, during the Spirit of ’45 Memorial Day celebration. To kick off the Memorial Day weekend, veterans residing at Atria Los Posas Senior Group Living were honored by currently serving military from NAVOPSPTCEN Port Hueneme. The Spirit of ’45 event was organized by Atria and VITAS Innovative Hospice Care to pay tribute to World War II veterans.
