Marine Lt. Gen. Dennis Hejlik, commanding general of U.S. Marine Corps Forces Command and U.S. Marine Corps Forces Europe, addresses the Marines and Sailors of Marine Corps Security Cooperation Group, after an award ceremony in which five Marines from the unit were presented a medal by representatives from the Republic of Georgia’s Ministry of Defense at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek – Fort Story, Va., May 4. The General Giorgi Mazniashvili Medal was presented to Col. Christopher McCarthy, Lt. Col. Daniel Thoele, Maj. Joshua Anderson, Capt. Arlon Smith and Staff Sgt. Everett Brown for outstanding performance of duties in support of the Georgia Deployment Program.
