Fleet Marine Force Atlantic, Marine Forces Command, Marine Forces Northern Command

Marines and sailors from Marine Corps Security Cooperation Group are joined by Marine Lt. Gen. Dennis Hejlik, commanding general of U.S. Marine Corps Forces Command and U.S. Marine Corps Forces Europe and representatives from the Republic of Georgia’s Ministry of Defense after an award ceremony in which five Marines from the unit were presented a medal at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek – Fort Story, Va., May 4. The Georgian representatives presented the General Giorgi Mazniashvili Medal to Col. Christopher McCarthy, Lt. Col. Daniel Thoele, Maj. Joshua Anderson, Capt. Arlon Smith and Staff Sgt. Everett Brown for outstanding performance of duties in support of the Georgia Deployment Program.
