The commanding officers of the Black Sea Rotational Force and the 4th Infantry Brigade stand in front of their respective units during the opening ceremony of Operation Agile Spirit on Vaziani Training Area in Georgia, March 12. Senior Georgian military officials addressed both forces stressing the importance of cooperation and the sharing of lessons learned between the two nations. The combined operation is designed to enhance interoperability and build camaraderie between the Marine Corps and the Georgian armed forces while promoting regional stability. The six-month deployment involves training exercises with 19 nations planned throughout the Black Sea, Balkan and Caucasus regions.
