USARPAC HAST trains with Coast Guard

Aviation Maintenance Technician Petty Officer 2nd Class George Ferry, U.S. Coast Guard Loadmaster, Barbers Point Naval Air Station, familiarizes U.S. Army Pacific Contingency Command Post, Humanitarian Assistance Survey Team members with aircraft tie-down components and procedures at Barbers Point NAS April 11, 2012. HAST members are preparing to load vehicles and trailers into a U.S. Coast Guard C-130 as part of a load exercise. The USARPAC CCP HAST is a rapidly deployable, scalable team of 6-14 soldiers, with specific skill sets, who can be on the ground anywhere in the Pacific within 24 hours to determine how the U.S. military can best provide relief support.
