Cmdr. James Meyer, Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 7 commanding officer, awards the Seabee combat warfare designation to Chief Hospital Corpsman Jeffrey Cook after successfully completing his qualification standards during a Seabee birthday celebration at Kandahar Airfield. NMCB 7 and 22nd Naval Construction Regiment held a joint event to celebrate the 70th birthday of the U.S. Navy Seabees. NMCB 7, homeported at Gulfport, Miss., and its detachments are one of two Seabee battalions conducting contingency construction and deconstruction in support of the International Security Assistance Force as part of Task Force Stethem, operating in the U.S. Central Command area of operation.
