Hany M. Khalil, a professor at Cal Poly and Agricultural Development for Afghanistan Pre-Deployment Training (ADAPT) instructor goes over a solar drying technique which can help the Afghan population dry fruit to extend food supplies to last them long after the harvest season on Jan. 25, 2012. Khalil is teaching Soldiers from the 401st Civil Affairs Battalion and Marines from the 3rd Civil Affairs Group how to help improve Agriculture in Afghanistan prior to deployment.
