Aviation Electronics Technician Airman Trevor Teschel, originally from Pensacola, Fla., sheers away at a block of compressed snow as he helps create a snow sculpture with the Navy Misawa snow sculpture team. The team is in Sapporo representing Naval Air Facility Misawa, and is building a sculpture for the city's 63rd Annual Sapporo Snow Festival. This is the 29th year that Navy Misawa has taken part in this festival, located on Hokkaido Island, Japan's northernmost isle.
