Col. Paul E. Funk II, commander, 1st "Ironhorse" Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division presents coins to Staff Sgt. Jason Janssen (right), 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, from Phoenix, Ariz., and Staff Sgt. Christopher Elman (center), a Cameron, Mo., native also with 2nd Bn., 8th Cav. Regt. during a ceremony at Camp Taji, Iraq, July 17. The 2nd Bn., 8th Cav. Regt. was recognized by Funk for being the first battalion in the Ironhorse Brigade and the 1st Cav. Div. to meet its mission goals in fiscal year 2007.
