The mini-gateway is bustling with activity as soldiers go through Customs Dec. 7. The mini-gateway allows soldiers and command an opportunity to ensure that baggage and soldiers do not contain any prohibited items before boarding a plane to return to the their home station or next duty assignment. Through joint ventures like this, Third Army/ARCENT, Navy Customs and 1st Theater Sustainment Command ensures that service members will meet the presidential directive to reposture troops by Dec. 31.
