The Secretary of State for Oregon, Kate Brown, meets with the soldiers of Detachment 1, Company B, Special Troops Battalion, 41 Infantry Brigade Combat Team during their mobilization ceremony in Pendleton, Ore., June 2. The detachment is scheduled to deploy to Iraq in support of Operation New Dawn. They will provide aerial reconnaissance support to the ground force commanders in Iraq, operating the RQ-7 Shadow unmanned aerial vehicles.
