Iowa National Guard soldier Sgt. Nick Axtman of Dyersville, Iowa, who recently returned from Afghanistan, watches a play from the sidelines during the Vikings vs. Raiders game in Minnesota Nov. 20. Axtman, an infantryman in D Company, 1st Battalion, 133rd Infantry Regiment, a part of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 34th Infantry Division, was one of many soldiers and service members invited by the Vikings to help celebrate their military appreciation day.
