Iowa National Guard soldier Sgt. Jesse McCunniff of Waterloo, Iowa, who recently returned from Afghanistan, shouts to players on the field during the Vikings vs. Raiders game in Minnesota Nov. 20. “It was really, really, really cool of the Vikings to invite us to the game,” said McCunniff, an infantryman in Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 133rd Infantry Regiment, a part of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 34th Infantry Division. “It’s great to be invited, the fans are great, it’s just all very awesome,” he said of the opportunity.
