U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. David Perez, convoy commander, 70th Medium Truck Detachment and Santa Fe, N.M., native sleeps on the floor of the gym at Forward Operating Base Warrior Oct. 28, 2011. As bases begin to shrink and personnel support services shut down, the truck crews become more creative on finding places to sleep. The team is taking 43 vehicles and 60 passengers more than 1,100 miles through Iraq to transport equipment and supplies out of the country in order to meet the military transition deadline.
