U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Frank Monacelli, a structures specialist Pittsburgh native on his second deployment, uses a circular saw to cut a portion of the back wall of the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, Joint Operations Center on Forward Operating Base. Monacelli, a veteran of 16 years, has been deployed for the last three months and has traveled throughout Afghanistan increasing the quality of life at smaller combat outposts.
