Soldiers from Company D., 1st Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team (Advise and Assist), “Black Jack,” 1st Cavalry Division, U.S. Division-North, pack excess supplies in preparation for movement back to Contingency Operating Base Warhorse during transition of Forward Operating Base Cruz – Morris, Iraq, Sept. 9. The FOB was transitioned to the Iraq army early Sept. 2011. It was located on FOB Lion, an IA controlled base in the northern Diyala province.
