Spc. Thomas Warner from Company D, 1st Battalion, 28th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, attends Assault Climbers training at the Marine Corps’ Mountain Warfare Training Center in northern California’s Toiyabe National Forest. , Sept. 22. Warner and the other soldiers who attends will use the technical mountaineering and land-navigation skills they learn during the course to lead their units’ movement and allow them to traverse horizontal and vertical obstacles during subsequent force-on-force training exercises in Mountain Exercise 08-11.
