The New York City Fire Department Memorial Bell, one of five used in various ceremonies across the country, sits by the Memorial Beam in the Lejeune Memorial Gardens during the Patriot Day 2011 ceremony, the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The bell commemorates the men, women and K-9 dogs who lost their lives acting as the first responders of the World Trade Center destruction.
