The 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) hosted a valor ceremony Sept. 15, 2011, at the United States Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School at Fort Bragg, N.C., in which 30 soldiers from 3rd SFG were honored and awarded respectively: two Silver Stars, seven Bronze Stars with “V” device, 10 Army Commendation Medals with “V” device and 11 Purple Hearts. This is the second such ceremony in seven months for the group. The previous ceremony, held in February, saw the unit’s soldiers awarded 37 medals for valor. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. Enoch Fleites)
