    Senior Airman Jorge Henry, a joint terminal attack controller deployed to the 817th Expeditionary Air Support Operations Squadron, is presented a Purple Heart by Lt. Gen. David Goldfein, commander of U.S. Air Forces Central Command, for wounds sustained in a nine-hour firefight in Afghanistan Aug. 12, 2011. Henry, deployed from the 25th Air Support Operations Squadron, Schoefield Barracks, Hawaii, sustained a gunshot wound to the hand early in the battle and continued to call in close air support throughout the firefight. He received the Purple Heart and an Air Force Combat Action Medal Aug. 25, 2011, while recuperating in Southwest Asia. (Photo by Master Sgt. Gary J. Rihn)
