Lt. Col. Justin S. Dunne, commanding officer, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, salutes his Marines as they pass in review during a change of command ceremony at Dewey Square on Marine Corps Base Hawaii, June 29, 2011. During the ceremony, Dunne accepted the battalion battle colors from Lt. Col. John W. Evans Jr. After assuming command of 2/3 in 2009, Evans led the battalion on a deployment to Helmand province, Afghanistan, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom from November 2010 to June 2011. While preparing to assume command of 2/3, Dunne most recently served in 3rd Marine Regiment's operations section.
