Lt. Joseph W. Diclaro II, from Beckley, Wyo., a medical entomologist with the Public Health and Preventive Medicine Detachment, Alpha Surgical Company, 2nd Marine Logistics Group (Forward), observes through a microscope mosquitoes and larvae collected May 20, aboard Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan. The crew sets the traps up in strategic places where they suspect insects will breed to collect data and prevent further reproduction and infection effecting troops supporting International Security Assistance Force operations.
