    Spc. Juan M. Deniz, a native of San Antonio, Texas, checks for injuries on a "casualty" during the three-day Soldier and Non-commissioned Officer of the Quarter competition in which he took 1st place. The event was held on Contingency Operating Base Basra from Feb. 25 - 27. Deniz represented Co. B, 36th Infantry Division, Division Special Troops Battalion, and will join Staff Sgt. Luis Barronzamora, the winner of the NCO of the Quarter, at the United States Division – South competition scheduled for later this year.
