    Spc. John M. Mendoza, Company C, 36th Infantry Division, Division Special Troops Battalion, takes a kneeling position and fires on a target during the Soldier and NCO of the Quarter competition hosted by the 36th Infantry Division, DSTB, Feb. 26. Mendoza was selected by his unit to participate in the competition designed to test soldiers on a number of levels, from his ability answer questions related to the Army and current events, to the rigors of a 10-kilometer road march and a written essay.
