Service members assigned to Special Operations Command South paddle their kayaks as the sun begins to rise over Homestead Bayfront Park during the inaugural Special Operations Command South Warrior Challenge, Feb 18. The 2,000-meter kayak paddle was one of four major events during the competition. Nine teams, consisting of two people, competed in the challenge consisted of a 100-meter swim, followed by a 2,000-meter kayak paddle and concluding with a 1,000-meter, 150-pound litter carry and eight-mile ruck march.
