Capt. Ben Jackman with 1st Cavalry Regiment, 4th Advise and Assist Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division shows Iraqi army soldiers how to set charges for 60 mm mortars at a live fire exercise in Mosul, Iraq, Jan. 25. The purpose of the range was to help the Iraqi army familiarize themselves with their weapons systems. The range was conducted by soldiers from 1st Squadron 9th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Advise and Assist Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division. Soldiers with 1st Squadron 9th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Advise and Assist Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division are deployed in support of Operation New Dawn.
